The Colorado Mountain Club is organized to unite the energy, interest, and knowledge of the students, explorers, and lovers of the mountains of Colorado; collect and disseminate information regarding the Rocky Mountains in behalf of science, literature, art, and recreation; stimulate public interest in our mountain area; encourage the preservation of forests, flowers, fauna, and natural scenery; and render readily accessible the alpine attractions of this region.

Upper Arkansas and South Platte Project is working to identify, protect and restore the areas that will ensure the survival of Colorado's native species and ecological richness in the two watersheds and across the larger landscape.

The Colorado Environmental Coalition (CEC) is the largest state-based citizens' group committed to protecting Colorado's unique natural heritage. As the grassroots action arm of Colorado's environmental movement, the Coalition works to protect the state's wild lands, wildlife and quality of life.

The Wilderness Society works to protect America's Wilderness through the potent combination of science, advocacy and education.

Friends of Brown's Canyon Wilderness seek Wilderness designation for Brown's Canyon and Aspen Ridge roadless areas for protection of wildlife, geological, recreation, and environmental resources.

The American Lands Alliance's mission is to protect forest, grassland, and aquatic ecosystems; preserve biological diversity; restore landscape and watershed integrity; and promote environmental justice in connection with those goals.

Earth Justice is a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment.
